Anyway, a lot of people don't realize just how early in the song the guitar comes in. Guitar 1 enters during the first chorus, softly palm-muting notes on the low Db string, which doubles the bassline an octave higher. This palm-muted guitar continues under the first guitar solo and following chorus. During the outro guitar solo and chorus, there are 2 rhythm guitars that play almost the same thing, except one moves up to a Db5 chord while the other goes down to an F#5, with the exception of one repeat, where they both go down to the F#5. I still wonder if maybe there's more guitar going on at the end of this song than what I hear, but I may just be getting confused because of all the strings that are mixed in. One little thing to pay close attention to, during the chorus after the first guitar solo, Guitar 1 does NOT go back up to the 5th fret at the end of the first line! It seemed weird to me that it only does that in one place the entire song, but I double-checked and that's really how it goes. On the live version, Brad plays Guitar 1 until the first guitar solo, Guitar 2 during the first solo and following chorus, and Guitar 3 from the 2nd solo until the end of the song.
