| Don't Stay Guitar 1 - B F# B E G# C# (Distorted w/lo-fi) Guitar 2 - B F# B E G# C# (Distorted) Guitar 3 - B F# B E G# C# (Distorted) Guitar 4 - B F# B E G# C# (Distorted w/lo-fi and flanger) Bit of a weird tuning on this song, it's a full step lower than "traditional" Linkin Park tuning. Brad recorded both this song and Nobody's Listening on an Ibanez RG470XL baritone guitar, which has a 27" scale length compared to the 25.5" scale on most of his other guitars. This causes higher string tension, allowing for lower tunings without the strings going all floppy. As far as actually playing the song goes, there isn't a whole lot of tricky stuff here. Mostly powerchords and some muted strums, with the exception of the octave part in the bridge. For the bent 3x5 octave, slowly bend it upwards as you strum by curling your index and pinky fingers (a similar technique was again used later on, on both the live version of QWERTY, and Given Up from Minutes to Midnight). On the live version, instead of strumming the bent octave several times like it's done on the album, Brad just strums it once and gradually bends it as he holds the notes out. There's really only one guitar part to this song, just make sure to use the necessary effects when applicable and it'll sound fine on one guitar.
